Dawn Eloy,Az. this morning.
I woke up this morning about 1am local time in Chiriaco Summit,Ca., grabbed a thermos of coffee and headed out. In California the speed for trucks is 55, a bit slow. After I cleared the scale in Arizona I kicked it up to 73, turned the radio off and just listened to the engine and the wind. This is what I drive for, these rare times when I really do own the road. Out here the road is smooth and except for the hills there is nothing to slow you down for miles and miles. God help me, I do love it so. Just the sound of that big turbo spooling up on the hills. Nuff said!
If it is possible to dedicate a night of driving, then I'd like to dedicate this night to a driver I've never met, a driver home going thru chemo. This one is for you driver, get well soon. The road awaits
And now, because I had a good night, and because I washed my truck, its raining. There is always a price to pay. For me, I'd pay it everyday. I've got more miles to do today, later...
